Watermelon Lemonade
Ingredients:
2-3 lbs. cut up seedless watermelon
1 cup lemon juice (fresh or bottled)
1 cup sugar
2 Tbsp. juice from maraschino cherries jar
1 1/4 cup cold water
Directions:
1. Place all ingredients in blender (if it seems too full, put in half the watermelon and blend, then add the rest)and mix well.
2. Add an ice cube or 2 in your glass and serve immediately.
This makes 1 1/2 - 2 quarts.

ooh...i just bought a watermelon the other day...i like the maraschino cherry juice addition...
hot enough for ya?!?!? seriously! i didn't have a watermelon, but i most definitely made a double bath of lavendar lemonade. it's almost gone. i'm adding your recipe to my "what to do with the huge watermelon" recipes:)
velvet-make it soon while the watermelon is still fresh!
tenny-lavendar lemonade? Please share!! I love your watermelon category. :)
Yum! I'll have to make that next time watermelons are on sale :) By the way, love your new profile pic. on here!!! :)
lavendar lemonade is really easy. you DO need lavender buds/flowers that are edible(a family friend owned a lavender farm and i still have some she sent me).
you just bring water and sugar to a boil, turn it off and add T. of lavendar. let it cool, then add more water and lemon juice. serve on ice. it's a taste of home recipe, so you may find it online there, or i'll check my magazine to give you exact proportions.
so glad it's cooler today!!
