Hello blog.
Well, there's been much improvement in the Emma sleeping in her bed department. Turns out, toddler beds were completely demeaning and 'beneath' her. This is what happens with a child who is not even TWO years old and cannot communicate with us but of course she thinks she's 5 and can be just like her big sis.
Many stories but the short version, she is now sleeping in the bottom bunk bed and Rachel is on top. The toddler bed is gone and now she's staying in her bed with 2 gates on the side since she's teeny tiny and takes up about an eighth of the bed! We also rigged the doorknob so she can't open it but just in case because we always seem to underestimate the gal, we still keep a gate at the door as well.
In other news, Rachel had career night at AWANA last week. Definitely the prettiest flight attendant I've ever seen. (:
Apparently they do double duty, here she's directing the plane to land. It's all very complicated since she would actually be in the plane. Technology these days, crazy kids.

that's awesome that she was a flight attendant! and that's so funny about emma - she is so much like the shark. they just want to be big kids!!
that's crazy! not something i would have thought of(with emma), but totally makes sense. i'll need to keep that in mind with gabe, he seems of that personality, too.
and i LOVE the big "cheese" smiles. they really are my favorite.
