org storg

I rearranged a bit to help me organize Rachel's social calendar and her school work. I had no clue how busy it gets once they are in school! Birthday parties, parents meetings, school pictures, AWANA...

I got a calendar to write in and it has color coded labels (I LOVE color coded anything) for each member of the fam. I can put up anything for anyone, it's a great visual. I also grabbed this corkboard and put it up on the side of the pantry. Now we can see some of Rachel's schoolwork and party invitations and the calendar. So far it's working rather well and it's keeping me organized. The whole thing was about $10. And, Rachel likes to look up, see her stuff, and is learning to read the calendar too. Win win all around.

i have a cork board in my kitchen, too, complete with calendar and all the stuffies :)
we (well, me!) are swamped with school stuff, too - pta, reading program volunteering, etc. it's hard juggling when you have a little one at home, too. and working, too - wow. how do you even do that?

ps - my word verification is 'subes' :)

velvet-I say no alot-more than I want to but it keeps my sanity to some extent. (: I figure there's a season for everything and sometimes that means waiting for another year to do xyz...

ps-I love subes-sounds like a word we'd use. (:

Love the cork board, where did you get it? I had such a backward week last week. Keep forgetting everything. The sad part was that I had stuff written on the calendar, but hadn't flipped it for Fri. b/c it wasn't Oct yet!!! Realized the night before that Haleigh was VIP in one of her classes Fri. with our home school group! Ugh!

the calendar, I got that at Target. It was around $10 so basically that's all I spend on the reorganizing.
