We've been in a heat wave ever since we got back from vacation July 4th weekend. It has been in the 90's for 2 weeks. Our yard is now brown from lack of rain. Hot. Humid. Muggy. Hot. Humid. Ummm. Hot...
We can't afford one of those big inflatable pools but we could afford one for $14.99! We've tried those inflatable kiddie pools which are junk. This 'little' pool has been perfect!! I found a website on how to keep kiddie pools clean too. It's big enough to NOT dump out the water after each use. This website allows you to enter the dimensions of your pool and find out how much in pool products you'd need to keep the water clean. Our pool is 8ft. in diameter and 18 inches high and it holds 500 gallons of water! I couldn't believe it for being that size. We actually spent more $ on pool products to keep the water clean but it's worth it. Water borne germs and bacteria...gross. Plus, the pool is a perfect size for Hubs and I to sit in a chair and have our legs in it. :)
Even with the pool being mostly in the shade, the kids heads were getting hot and so were ours so Hubs turned on our sprinklers and we all got a nice mist too.
This is just a great 'little' pool! Speaking of which...time to dump out the water (sneaky way to water the lawn) and re-fill.

seriously, hot enough for ya?? i think the only reason i haven't melted is because we have a pool! and yes, we got it for free, otherwise, we wouldn't have it. and yes, spent way more money on pool products, and yet, SO worth it. glad you're keeping cool.
The heat this summer with the crazy humidity is killing us! I think I'm officially old b/c I just can't seem to handle it this year. We had 4 different families over to swim last week! We did end up getting one of those blue pools with the ladder, thanks to Brians mom that helped chip in some $$ and it was on sale, so ended up about 1/2 price for us. Same here, the pool products/cover are the biggest expense. But, with the weather you either have to be in the water or be inside :) Thank goodness for pools, right?!
