That's the door to the garage on the left and there used to be a set of shelves on that 'wall' near the door but Hubs already took it down. You can see to the right a bit of the washer and dryer, they are staying there. We will be putting "new" storage (we already have it and it's been in the garage for the last almost 5 years) on that left wall and Hubs will be putting in a shelf for me to use to fold laundry as well as a bar to hang up clothes. The water heater in the corner will become hidden with a very cute little curtain that I have yet to find/make.
By the way, the paper on the door, that's a picture Rachel drew...for the cat. After we got him in March 2009, she felt bad that he didn't have anything to look at so she made drawings for him. So cute.
You are now looking at the other side of the space. This is where the new wall will go and be the mudroom cubbies and bench.
This is to the left of the above photo, the tool area. Hubs already took down these shelves. The new door to this furnace/tool area is going to be right where those 3 hammers are on the wall.
