girls in white dresses with blue satin sashes

This girl is 5 years old going on 14. Ok she'll really be 6 in 2 months but seriously, why is she growing up so fast?! We're dealing with a few issues right now, post-preschool boredom and surrendering to uh-hmm mommy being in charge. She is quick witted, loves to sing in the van, a great conversationalist, completely compassionate and a sweet soul.

Here a few of Rachel's favorite things:

Swinging as high as she can. (I still love doing that!)

Trying new things and this in and of itself is a new thing!

Ahhh, my kitchen helper. We must pretend we are doing a cooking show every time she helps me cook. And, we've had to cut back on her watching the Food channel because of these recent conversations...

R: Daddy, are these clorox wipes?
D: Yes.
R: Wow. These are super absorbent, thicker than ever, and stronger than before.

Another example. Hubs was having asthma issues so the dr. gave him some advair. You may have seen the commercials, it's a purple disk.
R: Mommy, is this Daddy's medicine? (pointing to the advair)
M: Yes, it is.
R: What's it for?
M: It's to help Daddy breathe better.
R: Oh, I thought it was for asthma.

My daughter is proof that commercials are effective.

Lastly, her very favorite activity is creating, drawing, and/or painting pictures. She's gotten more complicated with them as well. This is a look and find drawing where she put the objects on the side and you have to find them in her picture.
