Don't just skim it, take the time to really drink it all in. (as AnnE would say)
I Sing the Mighty Power of God
words by Issac Watts
1. I sing the mighty power of God,
that made the mountains rise,
That spread the flowing seas abroad,
and built the lofty skies.
I sing the wisdom that ordained
the sun to rule the day;
The moon shines full at God's command,
and all the stars obey.
2. I sing the goodness of the Lord,
who filled the earth with food,
Who formed the creatures through the Word,
and then pronounced them good.
Lord, how Thy wonders are displayed,
wherever I turn my eye,
If I survey the ground I tread,
or gaze upon the sky.
3. There's not a plant or flower below,
but makes Thy glories known,
And clouds arise, and tempests blow,
by order from Thy throne;
While all that borrows life from Thee
is ever in Thy care;
And everywhere that we can be,
Thou, God art present there.
Check out this arrangement. This kid is really good and it's his own version.

it's weird that you posted this - i was just thinking about hymns, since pants told me he sang 3 of them (solo) at his sis' funeral yesterday.
hymns have such good words - i need to read through them more often.
ps - annE with an E!
Reading things like that really helps put life into perspective. Thanks for sharing it. Sometimes I get so wrapped up in all the little things that really don't matter. I'm glad you posted this hymn :)
By the way...your golden nugget picture is cute and your comment made me laugh :) Naomi said her first 2 word sentence when I put her down for a nap today. She said, "ippy up eeeessss" (sippy cup please). I about fell over. She's growing up so fast.
