there's always room for J-E-L-L-O

Ok so I was going to post this a while ago. Look closely, the green grapes are indicating 2009. Really, they are.

I stole this dessert/treat idea from Woman's Day and it's supposed to be something to make in the summer. I say, who cares when you make it? It's cheap and oh so good.
I made this for our family New Year's Day get together. Kids and adults loved it. This made alot as I used 2 boxes of jello, if you're making it for just your fam, use only one box of jello. In both scenarios, I used only one box of pudding.

Recipe:

Get a box of red jello and prepare as usual and follow directions on how long to gel and stir in some fruit-canned or fresh. Allow time to gel completely. Then mix up a box of vanilla pudding and layer over the jello. Of course I added a new layer for some whipped cream and topped with some fruit. Put in fridge for at least 30 minutes to set before serving.

I had never eaten jello and pudding together but it's really good. To make it fanciful, you can prepare by portioning out servings in separate glasses and people can see the layers. Or if you're in a rush (me, most of the time) just put it all in a dish. (:

It has a fair amount, probably 7-10per issue. I think Woman's Day is a potpourri of everything. It's got fashion tips, parenting tips, $$ tips, recipes, health tips...Basically fits the magazine name. (:
